I love Japanese hotpot & this place hits the spot! The broth is tasty . I came here with my sister during lunch got the meat selection for two, which included the Wagyu & it was a pretty giving portion size. The dining room is pretty spacious and well lit. Service was good. I definitely plan on coming back!

Still one of my favorite non-AYCE shabu places! I did notice the amount of side veggies and udon given has decreased, but I found the proportion to not bother me as much. In terms of broth, I've gotten the spicy and non-spicy sukiyaki, pork broth, fire crab, and spicy miso. My favorites are definitely the spicy sukiyaki and fire crab, but all of them were yummy. My boyfriend has gotten original in the past and both of us agreed that it was a little bland. In terms of meat, I've tried the Mokkoji cut, fatty belly, and brisket. You can get the Mokkoji cut with their special marinade which I highly recommend; this also comes with an egg dipping sauce! All the meat is great quality and tender. Service is always quick and friendly. There's also lots of seating inside at either a table or counter. I remember being sat outside once, but not sure if they still do that. Also not sure if they still do this, but I remember during Covid they sold the meat to-go if you prefer eating at home.

If I had to choose a hotpot pot that isn't AYCE, Mokkoji would be one of my top choices. Whenever I go here, I order the spicy sukiyaki broth and ask for 1 drop of hot sauce for each of my sauces. For meats, I order the toro fatty belly and flat iron mokkoji cut. I think 2 regular plates are good to share with 1-3 people total if you're not feeling very hungry, but you can also upsize if you want more of the same meat. Service is great as always! Never experienced anything negative coming here. They also play great music and it's not too overpowering that I'm still able to hold conversations with my friends. Overall, very good meat quality and I always get out feeling satisfied.

really good food, premium cuts, great service! we got 2 regular cuts the toro and flat iron beef which was plenty of food for 2 people + fishballs and the lemonade drink. I got the sukiyaki broth which had so much flavor! Came around 6pm on a friday and there was no wait time, but after we left around 7:30 it was a packed house, so I def recommend to get here earlier if you can. Location seems a bit small, and since it gets packed it can get crowded but not really a problem. They offered us endless bok choi and veggies, which like ty! Came out really full lol, def worth the price for the premium quality of meats and the servers who would constantly check up on us. side note idk if it was just my grill but it kept turning off so I had to keep turning it on haha! highly recommend this place for shabu!!!

Oldie but goodie I'm just sad the prices have doubled since my last visit here during college days. The prices for a different broth are also significantly higher sighhhhh. Obviously, you can't go wrong with the Toro Fatty Belly. The meat is soft and fatty delicious . Otherwise, the Flat Iron "Mokkoji cut" is also a great option; not as fatty and soft as the toro but can also be delicious when not cooked well done. Marinated meats are the way to go. Vegetables are refillable (primarily just the kale, bok choy, and Napa). So sad that these portion sizes went down but the meat is still good size and delicious. Service was fast ambiance was squishy but fun
